SEEKING WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Many years ago someone jokingly asked Abraham Lincoln how long he thought man's legs should be... Mr. Lincoln was quite tall for the time. He lived in he stood about 6'4" tall. Lincoln replied"they should be long enough to reach the ground". There is a more serious question that God's Spirit is starting to ask all of us today; and that question is"how close should a man's relationship be to God? The answer to that question keeps coming back to me"our relationship should be close enough with God to transform a man's life". Today I want to begin to share with you some of the reasons for my continuing to write these blogs.
Some of you know my story fairly well, and yet I would like to share with you what has happened in my life over the last 20 or so years. It was at about that time when I began a serious journey with Jesus Christ in my life. I had been a proclaimed Christian for many years before that, and like many others I could easily praise God by giving lip service. The problem was that I had no real ability to live out the spiritual principles of being Christian that Christ had already set down for us in the word of God. It was somewhere around eight teen years ago now that God's Holy Spirit decided that he had a job for me to do. In fact God got me up in the middle of the night and told me to go into my basement and start writing. For the next three years I spent all hours of the day and night time writing in long what God spoke to me through his Spirit. The purpose for that was the first stage of what would become life changing information that flowed out of me and on to paper. This information had been collecting inside of me since the time I was very small, and had been continually planted inside of me as I continued to have life experiences. What I was writing was so deep that although I had an idea of what I was trying to say, I could not effectively communicated to anyone else. For the last several years I have been continuing to write it and refining it in message for with in the writings that God had given me so that others would begin to understand it as well. This process almost drove me crazy at first... My wife Patty was almost driven crazy with it as well until God's Spirit was ready for this form and teaching ministry to begin. As I share this information with you I ask that you will prayerfully consider what God is saying to you. I am not coming to you as any great teacher or profit. I am coming to you through the power of God's Holy Spirit telling you just what God wants you here.
I want for you to understand how very important the discussions are that we have in this blog. For those hearts that are prepared to hear the truth about what God really wants from us some of what is said here may bring a great amount of change your life. In fact for those who really take these words to heart all hold this message in your soul from the Holy Spirit it may mean that your world may be turned upside down for a time. I want you to know that once you have gotten this journey with God he will not likely let you rest and to you have made a choice about what it is that you have heard. For those who listen with their heart to one Holy Spirit is saying to you and yet refused to act upon it I don't God will leave you alone until you do something about it. The reason I say that is because that is what has happened in my life.
I also need to tell you that if you are a heavily involved with any denominational ties and doctrines you may need to hear this more so than anyone else. You may be very disturbed by, but rest assured you do need to hear it. The reason I say this is because we are going to be discussing Christianity from God's viewpoint. The focus is to get rid of the clutter that we stacked all around us on a spiritual basis, and just simplify. You may be called by God to do a special work, and just like others throughout time that have been called to do something like this by God's spirit I fully expect that at first your mind reject what is being said to you, so I want for you to pray about what is said and seek it out for yourself in the word of God. We do not realize it today, but God is calling us all to begin to give an account for our faith in Christ. He is doing this within the hearts of those who have long been seeking his face first and that is starting to pull at hearts to find a deeper relationship with God than ever before. Take some time in prayer after you finish with this blog, and ask God what he is trying to say to you. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
