Foundation/the last section of building on Christ alone
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
When everything is said and done I don't have the time or the patience to argue out all of the points that can be made as we look at each church doctrine and compare it to the teachings of Christ, but you can on your own look to find out what those differences are. Quite frankly I think you may be very surprised at what you find. In the final analysis Paul had to tell some of the churches that no matter who they had followed even if it were Paul himself, the goal was always to follow Christ and not men.
We are going to be looking at what Christ actually taught us and how that foundation compares to the doctrines that we have adopted in our churches. The difference is that you will be required to do the searching not only of Scripture, but of your hearts. The Holy Spirit will tell you the truth, and then you will have to make a decision. I don't know how long this journey will be that we have started together so I can't tell you how long it will take in our discussion of it. I am not in control of it... But what I do know is that along the way you should expect to have some encounters between who you are right now in Christ, and who God is calling you to become. Some of the things you may find out along the way may feel unpleasant or uncomfortable for you, I know that when I took this journey the first time it was very uncomfortable for me. The reason is because I grew up in a very legalistic set of doctrines and creeds like many of you have. I was taught not to believe in God, but how to believe in God. For many of us for the first time perhaps in our lives is going to make us focus on the foundations that Christ has asked us to build upon. When these foundations are laid out for us on one Christ actually did teach us then we can begin again to look at the materials that we have chosen to use to build upon that foundation with.
I want for you to know that if there is something that needs to be fixed within us the Holy Spirit will teach us what is true... You never have to listen to me because all I is a vessel that God has decided to you to bring this message to you. Dear ones in Christ this is not a message to the world about salvation... This is a message to you who are supposed to be the light of the world. We have all been given the same message of salvation, and we have all been called to be witnesses of this to work, the world does not listen to one we say... They are smarter than that... They listen to what our lives say to them as we live out the words we use every day.
We may proclaim Christ in our words, but in the final analysis this world may see only a certain brand of Christ. To this world the various brand names of Christ become a commodity on the market that is no different than any other product that is sold, and it is treated that way. Let me only say that if your world has not yet been rocked by your relationship with Christ, and if the Holy Spirit has not yet re-defined in your life so much that you must use it as a benchmark to compare all other experiences in this life with, then the chances are great that you have only of brand of God; a form of godliness, but I doubt that you have met the real thing yet. Dear friends in Christ there is only one truth, and frankly comes from only one source which is Christ. I am not making this up, I am not telling you something that is not true this is from the father to you as a gift of the heart so please listen to what is coming. Listen to what you have already heard. I and the unworthy servant... May you richly bless God through your life in him.
