UN-PEELING THE TRUTH
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
In my walk with the Holy Spirit, there has been a continued measure of unveiling truth that seems to be becoming more clearly written as I get older. One of these things that have been coming out of this relationship deals with how much we have been subjected to the ideas and thoughts that have spued out of the mouths of others whom we have trusted all of our lives through the media outlets and the leaders of our government. Most of these things that we have taken as truth during our entire lives has turned out to be corrupted in some way. For us to really understand what has been going on we need to understand the difference between lies and truth. In general, this is the way the two work: TRUTH is not hard to understand because it does not cloak itself in a way that it can be taken or mistaken as a lie. Truth, in fact, enjoys the light of day even though it is not always comfortable to hear or accept but tends to bring people together for a common cause. In fact, the truth tends to unite people in a common bond. LIES cannot withstand the testing of time and very often they get layered with a great amount of cover-up to try to not be discovered. As we peel back the layers of things that have been going on around us I think we will begin to see the difference between what has been a lie and what has been the truth all along.
What I said in the last blog comes into play here because in order to see this for what it really is we need to distance ourselves from all that we have been experiencing. That means we should un-plug from all of the hype and accusations that are being thrown around about all of the scandals and the things accused and then simply look at the nature of what is going on.
For those who are in Christ, I suggest you take some time to get yourself centered in God's Spirit before you start to take this journey, and if you are someone who is not quite convinced in this relationship as yet I want you to take a step back and look at the facts. What we are really looking for here is wisdom. Unfortunately, there are two different kinds of wisdom and depending on which form of wisdom you have chosen to follow the truth can still be very hard to discover. You see God has one kind of truth, and man has another kind of wisdom. God's wisdom never changes. When you hear it once you can always come back to the meaning that you were given and it will be the same. With man's wisdom, the truth can and does change depending on who is talking and what the objectives are because it is based upon the desires of someone's hidden agenda, and very much like the endless words of a lawyer it can be twisted and turned into the very opposite of what you signed the contract for.
In other words, the wisdom of men can and is very often deceitful just like the heart of men, and God's word tells us it is deceitful and desperately wicked, so who can know it? In order to peel away these layers so that you can see the truth for yourselves, it is important that you be able to see the characteristics of both God's wisdom and mankind's wisdom compared. When we really start to see this for what it is we will realize it does not take a great mind to understand what these traits mean in what we see around us. I don't even think I will need to go into any great detail or go point by point for you to see this. What it will take is a disconnect for a bit from the influences that you have been under; be that good or bad, and a desire to see the reality of what is going on in the world around you.
We start with what we see right now and what it indicates about it being either the truth or a lie. Using your memory I need to ask you how long has some of what you have heard been the truth? Is it something that has changed just sense a political push has been going on or has this always been true? When it comes to the way people are reacting to this truth is it something that unites us or does it divide us? Does it feel like certain people are being used as pon to play a game with? Every day does the circumstances behind what people are saying the truth changes? How many times have you heard something like the truth that has turned out to be a lie? Who are you getting that information from the most? You see my dear friends I think that the truth is inherited within us from God, but I believe we are so used to hearing lies that we become apathetic to the truth. We are living under such a bombardment of lies to cover for what is really going on in the hearts of men that not even the ones involved in creating the lies realize what is happening.
On the other hand, can you think of a truth that you heard when you were young or even a few years ago perhaps that has not changed at all from the time that you first heard it until now this moment? That would be God speaking to you right now. We don't have to go into a great political battle over who is right and who is wrong in this election time, but we do have to start making informed choices based upon what we have said we believed. I think what has happened is we have gotten caught up in the war that we have told ourselves does not exist between good and evil, and if we are fighting it all alone it is going to swallow us whole. These are just some things to think about when we are taking the time to look around us right now. May you richly bless God through your life iin Him.
