HOW SORRY ARE YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO GOD?
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
Matthew 5: 4-8 " Happy are those who mourn for they shall be comforted, happy are the mild-tempered ones for they shall inherit the earth, happy are those who are hungering and thirsting after righteousness since they will be filled, happy are the merciful for they shall be shown mercy, happy are the pure in heart for they shall see God".
Jesus took a direct explanation of the process it should take in our seeking salvation and actually finding the peace that is promised in Christ. That peace does not come without our commitment to Christ in a special way. If you have ever been brought to tears by something that you have done wrong you may not know about the deep kind of commitment that it takes to be repentant to God for your sins, and the deep feeling and experience that God replaces those tears of sorrow with. I believe with my whole heart that is what God speaks of when He tells us Happy or (Blessed) are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.
2. As I continue in this blog with these thoughts on the process of our journey when we come to Christ from the last blog I want to let you know that each step in this process is important for our spiritual growth, but at each turn we make toward God Satan is also there to say " ENOUGH" don't go any further. You see the enemy can always win us back if he can convince us that we are safe enough to no longer pursue Christ or the teachings that God has told us to follow. Can we lose our salvation then? Well...not if we stay in Christ, because nothing can pluck us out of God's hand, but I also believe we can be convinced to crawl out of God's hand of protection by thinking we are safe by having our name written on a church role card. Over the years I have learned that there will be many people who will be fooled into thinking that they are comfortable in the hands of Jesus even though they never pray or worship God in their life except for a led Sunday morning worship hour. What they will find that it is not a tradition or habit that saves us, but our relationship with Christ that saves us. Moreover, it is the long-lasting and continuous relationship we develop with God because of our commitment to Christ because of His sacrifice for us that matters the most to God.

For a great many people that relationship is filled with a long journey of pot-holes in the paths we have chosen with Christ, but even that does not matter if we can test His word to us that calls us to trust and rest in that truth that if we truly seek after Him we will find Him. You see my friend when we seek after God with our whole heart we will find Him as He has promised, and when we find Him there will always be an experience that we can point back to in saying that is a time in my life when I experienced God. It does not have to be a thundering mountain moving thing that happened to you, but there has to be something that you can always remember that allows you to say I can remember when my life started to change, and when I started to get serious about my relationship with God enough to give Him control of who it is that I am.
When that happens for your life there is a peace that comes over us that will cause meekness when we realize who we are compared to God. That's the point when we get past the place where we are listene=ing to the world yelling in our ears " YOU HAVE TO BE NUMBER ONE". When we get to the place where we can begin to see the real truth about our relationship with God comes through humbling ourselves before Him and accepting that gift that was freely given, but that is still only the beginning stages of our transformation. We are on a journey where we will never be able to see very far ahead of us, but when we keep our eyes fixed on what God has done for us He will always show us where those pot-holes are so we can avoid them. We will only fall into those problems when we take our eyes off of where we are going...off of the cross. If we keep our eyes on Christ and the words He has given us we will inherit the full Kingdom of Heaven. There is so much more than happens when we stay close to God as well. As an example; for my life every time I have found myself seeking after God not only have I found Him but I have also been drawn deeper into His mind and heart. I have found myself hungering and thirsting as the scripture says to find out more answers and ask more questions about what it is going to take for my life to be safe and for Him to be in control. That does not mean that I have to go out and save people, because that isn't what our job is in the first place. We are to be witnesses of what God has done for our lives only, and that personal experience will be enough to allow God's Spirit to draw others to Himself. That is what our job is, and it is not what a lot of people are doing today. It is the control factor in most relationships with God that cause the greatest disconnect of all. God cannot transform our lives with us in control.
We can neither be merciful or pure in heart when we are in control because our hearts are naturally deceitful and we will follow the pathways of this world every time when we take the wheel. We need to be asking the question of what then are the signs we need to look for in this transformation that we say we are seeking in Christ? I want to begin that discussion next, so I pray that you will come back and tune in. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
