HAVING CONFIDENCE IN GOD
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We have grown out of respect for God in this age, and it shows in the ways we treat one another. We are quick to speak of God tenderly, but I can't help but to think we view God personally as a hard task master who wants everything...that is not a true concept of God at all.
Do you think that He will love you enough to save you one day and the cast you aside the next? We look around us and see people with some many talents, and feel that we have none of those gifts therefore we bury what we have in the hope of keeping it intact for future use, or we talk ourselves into a process of thought that says What others have would not suite me...and what we do have we do not value. The real truth is that God craves your love for Him. I think in many ways we may miss that in our lives when we refuse to give God all that we have now in our lives.
In truth I feel that by holding back on what little we have to give God we are missing out on all that we could have by allowing God to bless us with more than we could have ever dreamed of by increasing what we have in this life to give. It feels many times as though we have forgotten that God's main directive is to increase our personal ability to bare spiritual fruit for Him. Unless God increases us in some way we cannot bare spiritual fruit in any way. Much of our confidence in our personal abilities then is based upon our confidence in God, and so we sell ourselves short on the things that God has promised to invest within us by not trusting in His very base promises to us.
Among the very first things we need in living a life of victory in Christ is to place all of our trust and confidence in God's word and plan for us. That means that the plan He brings about within us is never a cookie cutter existence, but very much an adventure to be shared not just in personal growth issues, but also as a witness to the world around us of what it can really mean to trust in Christ completely. Ever so slowly I am finding a way to find that confidence within God to use me even in a broken state. It is never about our own ability to serve and prove God. It is always a hard lesson to learn that it is always God at work in what ever limited ability we bring to the table. I have indeed grown in my personal confidence that God can do all things through a heart surrendered to Him. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
