IT TAKES A LOT TO BE A CHRISTIAN

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I have found that it takes much more to be a Christian than people realize...even those who want God with all of their heart will find it very difficult to maintain the principals that Jesus spoke of in the new covenant of obedience to the laws of God. In the new covenant if you even think it you are then guilty of it, and so we are all guilty...not even one can escape getting dirty under the sheer code of perfection that it demands.

Our relationship with one another is sometimes on a tightrope as well as we white knuckle down a pathway of political correctness that this world has demanded in trying to show that we are all equal [ even though we know that we unfortunately are not].  God has made some stronger than others...more beautiful, or more intelligent which is the way of nature, and to try to deny that fact is to destroy ourselves.  We are even taught that unless we produce with what little we do have even it will be taken from us and given to someone else who will seek to grow it and make profit for God from it.  We may cry foul and feel as though that is unfair while at the same time not understanding the principals of God's mercy in the widows might or the little boy who brought what he had to God and watched a miracle performed with it.

We cannot appease a balance of fairness that does not exist by suppressing the mind and heart of most to help the disadvantage of the few, yet in man's own wisdom that may feel good for a season...but eventually the truth of it's folly comes out.  We cannot be blind to the fact that for some we must carry a heavier load, and divide that load up to several others so that no one person is carrying it all.  We are all called to love one another as we would love ourselves which is God's remedy for a natural discrimination between the weak and the strong where the weak die and the strong survive.  We do that for a very good reason...love covers a multitude of sins in this world.  We cannot all do everything even though everything must be done...if we try we will fall over each others feet, and duplicate efforts made.  We will basically look stupid to the world around us by never being productive with the basic task we have been given to be witnesses to this world of what the Kingdom of Heaven is really like.  Even I have to admit that in some cases I see an image that would turn me away if I were reading the book of some church lives.

The only way of correcting those things that we see that are wrong is to join together in strengthening what is already there...not trying to compete or duplicate our efforts.  Add to one another and do not divide us against ourselves.  Lift up the downtrodden and the weaker vessel placing it in an honored position in the body so that the body might protect it's own members. Let us use that which God has given to us to give Him glory by joining together in our praise and worship of God through the development of who we are, and not who we want to be.  As we work together God will honor that which we have by increasing it's worth to the body around us by drawing strength and edification from the other parts that support the ministry within us.  I hope that we can all learn from what God is saying to us here...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
