THE BENEFITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

We are all called toward righteousness through God's word, but achieving that kind of lifestyle means a tremendous amount of struggle. Already we tend to go through a tremendous amount of change even without trying to get close to God...it sometimes is so great that we feel we are on an emotional collapse.  For a great number of people, the focus has been on what it takes just to survive in this world, but righteous living demands that we live and act on things far past what we see around us and begin to inner react through the Spirit of God within us by having our thoughts and actions directed toward the Kingdom of Heaven.  The point is that if we really want the Kingdom of God in our life we must make greater effort in our investment of time, energy, and talent to see that the Kingdom of God is represented and that our concentration is on the Father rather than on the distractions of this world.

I remember Romans 5:1-11 which brings our focus back to Christ and the elimination of the distractions of this world, but the only way we can do that is to find a way to cut ourselves off from such distractions.  The word tells us to die to those things, but that is really only the beginning because the world will always create new things to distract us with until we can eliminate the kinds of things that distract us in the first place.  I have heard it said that we can never really get rid of the habits that we develop.  We simply develop new habits to take the place of old ones.  If that is true; human nature seems to bear out the fact it is true, what can we fill our lives up with them?

Jesus taught that when we eliminate sins from our life we need to replace them with things that are filled with light and the glory of the Father lest these things creep right back into our existence and bring friends with them.  Paul was constantly boasting of the glory of God as he spoke of God's justification or proof of God's acceptance of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for our sins.  This is not just words, but a real conformation of the source that we have in that blessing and gift Christ gave for us.  We have to begin to fill ourselves up with various parts of that goodness that Christ has offered to us like patience and endurance as we give up these different things to God.  We need to pray immediately for these things to come into us to replace the void left in us from the sin that is gone.  If we don't immediately fill ourselves through the request of hope and glory from the Father this world will attack us again. We cannot afford to disappoint ourselves or allow ourselve to be deceived by this world because the enemy does not play fair or give any quarter to his foes.

I wish there was a way that I could explain this to you in a way that would cause you to see the depth of wisdom in the Spirit that is in what God is telling you.  I fear that you may not get what I am saying unless you are tuned into God already because we are so close to crossing over that bridge to eternity now, and I cannot express myself enough as to how important it is to get this right while we have the chance.

God has told us that we do not have to try to do these things on our own because He is with us every step of the way. When we are in our weakest moral place is when He has promised to be in His strongest place on our behalf.  God has commended His love to us through showing and proving His love through the acts that He has done for us.  He will help us replace the parts of our lives that are broken if we will just surrender to Him.  The days we are in right now have gotten so dark, and I know that there are probably none who will come by to read this blog, but I want you to know that I will never teach or preach anything except what is the truth according to Jesus Christ.  I pray that there may still be some who come by to read. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
