THAT LAST PIECE OF WHO WE ARE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There is absolutely no doubt that each one of us will sooner or later come to the point when we feel that we can no longer give more of who we are to God. It is in those times when God asks us to make an even bigger commitment to him.

For some reason we fail to understand that the whole point of living this life is to make decisions that prepare us to live our eternal life. Our real rest and comfort should not come in this place anymore than our real satisfaction should be had in the middle of the job being done. Jesus did his complete work throughout the 33 years of a perfect life lived so that he might be our perfect sacrifice. Our life in turn is lived for him on a basis of a daily living sacrifice that is made completely according to his will in our life. We are to give up our life for Christ because he gave his life up for us. That sacrifice on Jesus part was not completed until his death on the cross. Our sacrifice will not be completed until we die to our self will so completely that our desire is simply to be more with God than to live in this world.

There will always be times when we feel as though we cannot bear giving away another piece of who we are to God and be able to continue to live our lives. That is usually our sense of a tipping point in our lives to desire our part in the kingdom of heaven more than we desire to be a part of this world. There are many today who view that has being very fanatical way to live, and in fact may feel that it is unhealthy. In truth for just about every one of us when we come to the point where we believe something so strongly that we are willing to fight for the right of that belief we have come to the same tipping point. We each one have to believe so strongly in Christ in our life and then one he has told us is true that we are willing to stand and not only give lip service, but to lay down our life for the cause of Christ in us.

Sooner or later in our life there will be a time if we keep asking and seeking after God where we to will be led to give our life in the for the sake of Christ. Most of us will never go that far or seek that kind of depth in our relationship with Christ, but there will be a few who will; and for those few who will give their lives we need to be aware that they were living in the center of God's heart. Each piece of our lives that we give away to God he has promised to make better and to give back to us more than we ever thought it possible to receive. Sometimes I feel as though I cannot give more than I have already in my life to the cause of Christ, but that is so far from the truth. I have actually only begun my journey in that deeper walk with Christ. I have only scratched the surface of my own life and of what I have found that I can give to God. What is left in your life to give to the cause of Christ? Will you find yourself getting to the point of not wanting to go further with Jesus because of the cost to you, and your life personally? I pray that we can all begin to awaken to the fact that we owe God each and every breath we take. We owe him our complete devotion, all of our time, and all of the love that is in us in exchange for what he is done for us. May you richly bless God your life in him.
