Becoming a point of light as the church

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I keep coming back to this same subject of study again and again because I feel then we who claim to be in Christ are missing a great deal of the message that Jesus was sent here to deliver; that message is mainly to be as a one in the spirit of God. In the Old Testament the priests were commanded to take the ashes from the burnt offerings they had, and sprinkled them on the ground and then stand on them. They were standing on the finished work. In the early West the pioneers greatest fears were not Indians nearly as much as wildfires. When confronted with one of these the Y is a wagon Masters would have the wagons bank into the safest burnt ground because the fire would not come back to it once it passed. One of the greatest ways that we can begin to prepare our spirits for the journey ahead of us is to deal with the soil we grow on. Before we can grow successfully we must go through the fire and then deal with the burnt ground at our feet. How quickly we are willing to deal with sent fire will depend on how much damage is done by. Death to this world is inevitable, but what we give to God completely is our choice as we go through it. Are we standing on a soil that is ready for
and growth?

Are you hungry and thirsting after a relationship with God? I believe that is the question that keeps bringing you back to the same place and time in your life. Have you been looking for a way to have a serious relationship with the father? I am not asking if you have a serious relationship the church, or with prayer, but with the father. And I'm asking one other question have you found it yet? In order for us to get back to the same place where the first church was; where when they prayed the building shook and the power of God could be felt, we need to answer those questions about our own lives.

I believe that today we can find a way to grow personally without taking anyone away from the church they are currently attending. I believe we are all called by God to a work in Christ, and some are chosen to all work because they cannot contain it in their soul. God has called me to a much greater task than I can personally handle. He has called me to teach and speak about a series of truth subjects that many in the church are ignoring, and about what the father really wants from our lives. This is not something that I have chosen to do, but it is something that I am called to do that cannot be ignored because it is a series of study that has been taught to my heart by the power of the Holy Spirit and it is about the subject of the church becoming a true point of light in this world.

We need to realize that God has already placed members of the bride of Christ throughout the church in this community and in this world that currently are being separated by doctrines, denominations, and creeds that are of no use to our witness as to what Christ has done in our lives. Jesus knew from the very beginning that the more men got involved in the leadership of the church the more difficulty there would be to have unity in the body. The idea of the point of light is really very simple, we need to focus our attention in one place. Jesus told us "to seek first the kingdom of God, and then he would add all things to us that we needed". I am attempting to call out the bride of Christ from all of these various church groups first of all in my own community, and then among the nations of the world. We need to realize however, that it all starts with us. It is a very tall order, and very scary and so much bigger a task than we can ever handle alone so that is why it must be done according to Scripture.

Since it is God who is the one who is calling us out from among all kinds of denominational backgrounds to give an account for who it is that we say we are in Christ; and to that closer walk with him, it must be the Holy Spirit who does the leading and stays constantly in charge of what we do. He is not calling us to leave a church where we are currently worshiping or joining a new church or group of believers, but he is asking us to bring him back with us from what he teaches us in our studies together. God wants us to bring his spirit back with us from what he teaches us into our worship services and various family bodies of believers so that once again gone spirit will have the power that he so longs for through us to shake the buildings as we pray, to heal the sick and the lame, to make the blind see once again. These studies begin by looking at who is responsible in God's eyes for what is in the church, and then focusing upon the foundations of our faith in Christ just the way Christ taught them. It is God's desire for us to teach what it means to rise and walk in newness of life. And it starts as it always has with the leadership in showing that leadership the importance of developing unity and the network of security within the body where they worship and with one another so that the church itself can gain a sense of security that it may well never have had before. We need to explore the hips of every diverse spiritual fruit that we have and put it to work as God brings people in to the church to worship. Many of you have heard me mention different points of light in the past, but now I want to revisit some of these things that the Holy Spirit has driven into my heart. I hope you will join with me as I begin to outline some of these points and then begin to delve into them more deeply. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
