A POINT OF LIGHT

I send you greetings in the name of Jesus.

I wanted to start a new series of studies to try to awaken the body of Christ to its original purpose in Christ spirit. Then purpose scripturally is to develop relationship both with one another and with God the father as family members, and to prepare our spiritual lives for the transformation that God intends for us to grow into in preparing us for an eternal life in God's presence.

One of the first things that we need to do is to begin preparing the soil of our lives for growth; Hebrews 10: 12 "but Christ gave himself to God for our sins one sacrifice for all sins"and I like what Bob gas wrote in his devotional book quote a fresh word for today" quote if you were able to suddenly die and stand before God and he should ask why should I let you into heaven? What would you say? He said you wouldn't believe the answers he received but the best thing from a teenager who wrote quote I'd say I'm standing on the finished work of Christ no less will avail and no more is needed " first Peter 2: 24 Peter said " he bore our sins in his own body on the tree " in the Old Testament the priests were commanded to take the ashes from burnt offerings, sprinkle them on the ground and stand on. They were standing on the finished work. In the early west of the pioneers greatest fears were not Indians as much as wildfires. When confronted with one of the wise wagon Masters would have the wagons back onto the safest burnt ground because the fire would not come back once it passed. One of the greatest ways we can begin to prepare our spirits for the journey ahead is to deal with the soil we grow on. Before we can grow successfully we must go to the fire and then deal with the burnt ground at her feet. How quickly we are willing to deal with that fire will depend on how much damage is done by. Dance to this world is inevitable, but won't we give to God completely is our choice as we go through. Are we standing on a soil that is ready for new life and growth?

Are you hungering and thirsting after relationship with God? I believe that is the question that brought you to this place and time in your life have you been looking for a way to have a serious relationship with father? Have you found yet? Are you looking for a way to grow personally without taking you away from the church that you're in right now? We are all called by God to work in Christ, and some are chosen to work because they cannot contain it in their soul. May I introduce you to the study series that will bring you back to the truth about church today, and about what the father really wants from our lives? This series is taught by the power of the Holy Spirit and is called" A POINT OF LIGHT". The purpose is simple, it is the calling out of the bride of Christ from among the nations of the world and it starts with us. That is a tall order, and very scary in so much bigger than the task than we can handle alone so that is why it must be done according to Scripture. God is the one who is calling us out from among all kinds of denominational backgrounds to give an account for who it is we say we are in Christ; to that closer walk with. He isn't calling us to leave the church that were worshiping or join a new church or a group of believers, but to bring him back with us from what he teaches us in our worship service and various family bodies of believers. This series begins by looking at who is responsible in God's eyes for what is in the church, and then focusing on the foundations of our faith in Christ just the way that Christ taught. It will teach what it means to rise and walk in newness of life. The series starts with the men of the church and shows them the importance of developing unity in a network of security within the body they worship with one another so that the church itself can gain a sense of security it may have never had before this. The study goes on to explore the gifts of very diverse spiritual fruits that we should both look for and put to work as God brings people into the church to worship.

Genesis 3: 22 - 24 the fact that once we had committed the sin of eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil God could not take the chance that we would not also eat of the tree of life and that is why God had to expel us from Garden of Eden once mankind was gone from the garden we no longer see on earth, but someday I look forward to tasting of its fruit Revelation 2:7. My last point in this particular blog deals with wisdom. The greatest parts of a relationship with God comes with understanding and with wisdom from God to men. We cannot love truly the things that we don't allow ourselves to bond with. We cannot bond with someone or something that we cannot understand. God's relationship with mankind has been based upon our understanding. He has chosen us to walk and talk with, and he is chosen us to love as family and to him. God is chosen to love says he loves Christ whom he sent to earth for our sakes. One of the very best scriptures on wisdom comes to us from Ecclesiastes 1: 1 – 18 . In the Scripture David describes the process of wisdom and what wisdom does in our lives as we allow ourselves to be taught and come closer to God. People don't understand why those who are called toward wisdom becomes sorrowful and distant from the world and yet it is a part of the process of preparing to go home. The fact is the more we understand God, and his desires for us the less we see value in the world around us. The more we are drawn to the kingdom of heaven. We see how all things have become a form and type of vanity. We can read about that in Ecclesiastes 2: 1 – 25 and if we understand the word of God we will soon realize that everything here is created for a time but not as a permanent even this world. Ecclesiastes 3:1-22.

In fact with regard to wisdom we can look at the fourth chapter and find that David looked at all things in this world and found that there was nothing that didn't relate to vanity in some way all of the things that this world had to offer. He saw a right to the heart of the world and to the heart of the deceit behind the things of this world, and he saw it was a trick of Satan to cause us to become puffed up with in ourselves about things. In chapter 5 David then turns his attention to our worship of God into the vanity that comes in with us from this world. David said do not give the sacrifices of fools. A fool will make about a God without the intent of hard to keep than about, but a wise man will know that God expects us to be true to our word. The truth will come out from our hearts no matter how hard we try to hide it from God. The things that we hold true in this world and say that we love in our hearts will not be what satisfies us ever. We can go on all the way through chapter 6 and chapter 7 of Ecclesiastes in study of these things. In fact I think it would be a good thing for us to do that. There are many things that we can draw from the Scriptures that will help us in our growth today so read in Ecclesiastes chapter 4 through chapter 7. There are so many things that need to be said this year that are extremely important to each of us. This is only a beginning; may you richly bless God through your life in him.
