NO ONE CAN SEE UNLESS YOU ARE BORN AGAIN
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
John 3:3 " in reply Jesus declared I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again". Jesus was speaking with a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the ruling Jewish council.
It seems there were quite a few of the leaders in the synagogue who in their heart believed in Jesus as the one who had been sent by God to be the Messiah, but like so many others today they are very silent about their faith in God. Nicodemus was as astonished as we are today when we hear those words " You must be born again", and it is likely that few of us really understand any more than he did what the true answer to being born again was.
From the start we must realize that our first birth in this life is physical, but this physical birth is only a temporary kind of trial life that is given to us for a great purpose. That purpose...if we think about it is to choose life eternally with God. It is the chance we have to be born again through the purpose and love of God for this life. I can remember when I was a small child asking the question of why am I here? For some reason there needed to be a very good reason for me to be going through all that I have, and so I sought a reason behind it all...and that is really what started me on the journey that I am on right now with you.
The process of being born again has been in dispute for ages as well, but the simple truth is what Jesus tells us about it John 3:5 " Jesus answered I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh , but the Spirit gives birth to the Spirit" Jesus used the words " I tell you the truth" before these statements because He wanted to emphasise the truth of what He was saying. We seldom do any kind of study on this passage of scripture because we think that we know it so well. In order to really understand John 3:16 The truth is hidden in front of our faces in a real way. Jesus said in verse 17 the God did not send Him into the world to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through Him...in verse 18 He says that whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God one and only Son. If we are going to really understand this we have to pick apart Jesus words a bit and not gloss over them. As an example the words " be saved through Him" means just that...we cannot find what our souls so desperately seek without going through Jesus Christ.
John 3: 19-21 " This is the verdict; Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone wh does evil hates the light, and will not come to the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what He has done has been done through God". If we cannot see these things clearly we are not looking through the new eyes we have been reborn in the Spirit of God with. That can be for two reasons; either we have not accepted Jesus as yet as our Savior or we are in such a state within the soil of our lives that we need help and tender care by the people in Christ around us, and we need to reach out for that help.
Dear friends there are many many people sitting in churches all over this country and throughout this world who right now are in that state of either bad soil, or disbelief who desperately need you to step up and be who you were created to be. If you are in a situation where you don't know where you are with Christ then contact me and I will help you find help in your area...don't put it off. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
