FROM THE BEGINNING

Greetings in the love and Mercy of God:

I want to start again from the beginning in that I want to deal first with those of us who have thought themselves to be Christians, but who are not so sure anymore.  There are a lot of people in that category who have claimed the name of Christ, and then down the road found that their lives have not changed at all.

The question that we have to ask you is WHY? and for the answer we need to go back to the book of John 17:3 which asks the question "Did you know the Lord?"  Anyone who is truthful with themselves will have to say " I thought I did".  The simple truth is that if you don't know the answer to that question then you probably never have known Him.

1 John 5: 11-13-20 where the scripture speaks of those who have been false conversions are found in lives because of the kind of soil in a person's life can make it impossible for the seed of faith to grow.  It is one of the many reasons why we as Children of God have such a part to play in the life and the growth of those who newly come to a decision about Christ in their lives.  We don't plant the seeds any longer but we cultivate the soil in a persons life so that the seeds of faith in Christ can grow.  I really don't blame anyone who has found themselves in this situation because it isn't their fault...it is the church body's fault for not helping them to find the right kind of answers to the questions they have.

The Church of today is built upon the idea that we are all in control of our lives because that is what this world tells us we need to be.  There are many who cannot control various parts of their life through no cause of their own.  They still simply need to be delivered from the hold this world has on their lives.  They will find that deliverance only through having had a real experience with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Let me just ask you this: ( and be truthful with your answer) Can you really recount your life changing experience with God where you know where you were and what it felt like to be saved through the blood of Jesus Christ?  After that experience did you not begin to feel different on the inside?  Since that time has there been things changing within you in the ways you think about the world around you?  Are there differences in the taste you have for some of the things in this world?  Jokes and things that would have caught your attention before that have changed?  If you can say yes to some of this then you have been going through some of what God calls transformation.  If you have had a real pull toward God since then you should listen to that voice and follow what He is asking of you.  It is a part of your purpose in God.  For those of you who have not experienced that kind of thing I want to encourage you to talk to someone who is close to you and who can understand what you are feeling.  It is very important that none of us find ourselves alone when it comes to our spiritual growth.  We are actually tending the soil of one another's lives as a church.  We bring rich nutrients in to make the soil richer and better for God to teach us and for us to accept the word of God.  We cannot do this alone, and for those among us who have gotten away from that kind of fellowship...we need that in our lives very badly otherwise we have cut off a part of our support system that God has put in place for our lives to continue to grow and develop.

I want to encourage you today to get in touch with me if you have questions.  Make comments and ask questions that will help us to help you in your walk in Christ Jesus.  I love you so much in the Lord...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
