DEALING WITH A WINNING HAND
In many ways, I don't understand what it is about the world around us that causes us to want to fight against God at every turn. I can see the world is growing darker all of the time with its constant flair for demons and evil being shoved at us. I can't help but remember such scriptures as "Trying to turn good into evil and evil into good" and really just what that means to us.
The real problems are that we refuse to pay attention to the real story of what God has told us was going to happen. We are in an endurance race while the world is calling us to sprint to the finish line so that we can win. Even if we try to stay within the rules with God's word if we sprint our way through life we will never understand our purpose. SLOW DOWN and look at what you are doing!
I remember in high school when I ran track I ran 1/4 mile races and I made the great mistake of sprinting it! When I got to the last turn and the final straightway I ran out of gas and collapsed on the track while everyone else passed me by, and I did not finish the race. I think that is what this world is trying to do with us right now. The world wants us to speed up so that we lose all of our ability to stay on course. You see Satan does not care if you claim Christ; he cares if you finish the course!
Dear friends, there is so much more to this race than being in the first place. There is a purpose in us even being in the race in the first place, and that is to help one another to finish the course. While there are millions of people out there who are shouting from the sidelines RUN...RUN what we all need to be doing is looking for someone who is running with us on the course set before us that may need help to continue to run. By slowing our own pace we may be able to help someone else who is struggling to run, or maybe pick someone up who has fallen on the course back to their feet and continue to move toward the goal of finishing.
EACH DAY when I rise now I can't help but think whois out there that God will help me find who is in desperate need of someone to notice their struggle to run. In fact, I am looking your way right now...are you struggling to find a way to continue your calling in Christ? If you are won't you reach out to someone who is close to you to get help? If you can't see anyone then get in touch with me. I am not that hard to find. Call me or make contact through these blogs; I am right here.
May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
THE UNWORTHY SERVANT
