on Burnt Gound

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

This year is all but complete as far as the time is allotted for it, but there seem to be a great number of unresolved issues in play with regard to the political scene that might well change the landscape of our lives.

As a Christian, I have tried to stay clear of any kind of political opinions or public endorsements, but I find myself in a very difficult place in my heart over what is going on right now.  I know the bible has directed me to be a certain way toward my fellow man and yet I am finding it very hard to continue to have a kind heart toward those who are insisting on adopting ideas and making demands on all of us that will take away our GOD given rights as Americans.

The question on my mind is if I should stand up against such things physically so that I block this element from coming into my life and my home or if I should do what I have seen from most others who protest Christ and become a pacifist; letting life just continue to hate and harass my faith without making any effort to stand for the values I have been taught and which I hold dear to my heart?

What I do know is that sooner or later God will require me to take a stand for my faith in Him.  While I must admit I don't know all of what is meant by that I do understand that I will either be required to stand for what I believe now by facing down those who have bought into an idea that Evil is good and Good is somehow evil, or I will have to take a stand as very hateful people will sooner or later make me declare that I either don't believe in God or that my life will be taken and all that I have will be given to those who will divide the spoils. I believe that no matter what the final results are from this election we must stand now for those things that make us who we are as a people and as a Country.  While I am only one voice in a sea of others I still am required by my love for God to stand and be counted among those who claim citizenship in God's Kingdom.

This is not an easy time for many of us and there are many who may lack the courage to take that stand. I want for you to know that with all of my heart I stand with you.  I believe that we as God's people can turn this around if we stand together.  If you believe this is the truth then say something!  You can write to me with your opinions.   I have been told that during the years of the Covered Wagon travels across the country many times there were natural wildfires that would burn across the prairie which would take many lives. The wise trailMasters would circle their wagons on areas that were either already burnt or which they would burn out because the fire could not come back when it had no fuel. We cannot stop the natural course of the Wildfires that are burning right now, but we can be smart as to where we circle our wagons.

May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
