God's real goal in saving you

What does God really want to save in mankind?

We spend a great deal of time trying to conform these bodies to a state that fits what we think God will be pleased with enough to transform us into new creatures.  What we don't realize is God already knows what He has in mind saving about us and what He will simply discard.

In many cases, people get the idea  God will simply pick us up and transform us into the way we are now, but we must rethink a few things from the very beginning that will help us a great deal in giving our lives to Christ. GOD SAID "Let us make man in our image" What this tells me is we need to understand what that image is. Let me give you an example of what I mean:  We know God as the Trinity. He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each of these parts of God is used for a specific purpose.  Being created in His image, we too have three parts; the body, the mind, and the spirit. There is something very important that we must understand. That is there is a part of us that is expendable; that part of us is our body.  Our body is the only part of us directly attached to this world.  It becomes the container that houses the other 2/3 of who we are.  Our mind and spirit are the parts of us that God is focussing on saving.  This world is trying so hard to get us to focus on the body because our physical body is the only part of us that cannot be perfected through the transformation of our minds and hearts.  Those things are directly connected to our spirit, and become the prized part of us that God loves so much.

It is because of that factual truth that God can ask us to make s complete trade of anything we may have in this world for the promise of life with God, a new body that is incorruptible and freedom to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven through our life in Christ Jesus.  There is so much more that we should discuss here in this format concerning the questions any of you might have about God's promise to us.  I really want you to consider making a comment on these subjects as they come up.  As we start these conversations once again it becomes very important to me that we get the chance to make contact with one another. This will give you the chance to make comments and give testimony yourself in Christ as we share together. I really pray that you will consider doing that. May you richly bless God through your life in Him
